Nicky has been working in the Health and Fitness industry for fifteen years now and has international work experience in many different countries around the world. She began teaching in various countries in Europe and then spent the next ten years in the Middle East and Asia managing Health Clubs in Dubai, training and assessing Fitness Trainers in India and being Personal Trainer for the Saudi Arabian Royal family.

She also lived in Hong Kong for four years and managed her own Personal Training and Sports Performance business.

Nicky started teaching Pilates in 2010 and did most of her training at a Stott Pilates training Centre in New Zealand where she gained full certification to teach Pilates at all levels on all pieces of apparatus including mat, reformer, Cadillac, chairs and barrels , along with injuries and special populations.

She returned to the UK in 2012 to live in Leeds and teaches Pilates in and around the area.

Nicky is an elite Marathon runner and has competed in many different Marathons and long distance races around the world, along with London and Edinburgh Marathon in the UK It was through a running injury that she found Pilates and has been addicted ever since. Nicky believes pilates and running (and all other sports too) really complement each other to form a brilliant combination and now can’t imagine doing one without the other. She is also a keen cyclist now too.

Everyone needs and wants to move properly without injuries, aches or pains, regardless of age or ability, so Pilates helps everyone in achieving optimum health and well-being to create a happier pain-free life.
