As a Person-Centred therapist it is my aim to provide you with the right conditions to allow you to explore, in comfort and safety, the challenges or troubles that you wish to bring to therapy, free from judgement or rejection.
I strongly believe that we all have the innate ability to find our own answers to the problems in our lives when given the right support and I am committed to providing that support through times of difficulty. I always work at understanding a client’s situation from their point of view and without judgement, allowing you to explore and express as much as you feel safe doing, at your own pace. I work with an ethos of being ‘with’ you on your journey.
I offer an empathic, down-to-earth and honest approach to therapy and adhere to the professional standards set out by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy of which I am a registered member.
Together we can hopefully create a relationship where you come to trust and access your inner resources and innate strength, helping you understand yourself more openly and freely, to make the positive changes you wish to, allowing you to live a more satisfying and happy life.
The issues I have experience working with are, but not limited to:
Anxiety and Stress, Dealing with changes of circumstance (e.g. Chronic illness, Moving house) Negative and Low Self-esteem, Depression and Suicidal thoughts, Isolation, Understanding or coming to terms with loss (e.g. Bereavement and Divorce), Drug and Alcohol problems, Sexual abuse and sexual related issues, Relationship difficulties. I also work with emotions from the issues arising with the threats of climate change.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding myself or my practise or to make a booking. I offer a free 20 minute telephone assessment so see if we wish to work together.
