About Me and My Approach
I offer integrative psychotherapy and therapeutic coaching for adults seeking support with personal and emotional difficulties, relationships, identity, burnout and life transitions. I have particular knowledge and experience of neurodivergence, especially the complexities of recognising and understanding it later in life, and the impact of years spent adapting, masking or feeling misunderstood.
People come to therapy for many different reasons. Sometimes there’s an identifiable difficulty or change to navigate; sometimes it’s harder to put into words. We may find ourselves questioning familiar patterns, struggling with expectations or trying to make sense of experiences that don’t fit the ways we’ve learned to understand ourselves. I believe it’s important to explore these experiences in the context of someone’s life, rather than treating them as isolated problems to be solved.
My approach has developed through a combination of interdisciplinary doctoral research, a career in senior government leadership, working alongside neurodivergent adults in community mental health, professional training in psychotherapy and executive coaching, and my own experience of neurodivergence. Across these different settings I’ve become particularly interested in how our understanding of ourselves and others is shaped by the assumptions we make, the relationships we’re part of and the wider environments in which we live.
This has shaped a philosophy of therapeutic practice built around curiosity, relationships and the possibility of looking again. The ways we’ve learned to understand ourselves can be helpful, but they can also become limiting, particularly when they no longer reflect our experiences or circumstances. Therapy offers an opportunity to explore those understandings, question what we might have taken for granted and consider different perspectives, without assuming there’s a single right answer.
I work relationally and collaboratively, recognising that we each bring something important to the therapeutic relationship. I bring my professional knowledge, experience and approach; you bring your own experiences, perspectives and questions. Together, we can explore what matters to you, make sense of things that may feel complicated or contradictory, and develop new ways of understanding them.
My aim is always to understand your perspective, rather than fit you into someone else’s framework. It’s through that shared exploration that we can begin to look again at familiar experiences and discover new possibilities.
Ways of Working Together
I offer both psychotherapy and therapeutic coaching at Tower Clinic. Both draw on the same relational, collaborative approach, but differ in their focus and how we structure our work together.
Psychotherapy — £95 per 50-minute session
Psychotherapy offers space to explore emotional difficulties, relationships, past experiences and patterns that may be affecting your life now. Our work can be open-ended, allowing us to develop understanding and explore experiences at a pace that feels right for you. Sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly.
Therapeutic coaching — £115 per 60-minute session
Therapeutic coaching combines psychological depth with a more intentional focus on change, development and what comes next. We might explore questions about identity, direction, relationships or personal and professional transitions, while working towards areas of change that matter to you. You may wish to reflect or experiment between meetings, allowing you to explore and apply new perspectives in everyday life. We can also agree a rhythm of sessions that supports this work, which may be less frequent than psychotherapy.
There is overlap between the two approaches, and you don’t need to know which is right for you before getting in touch. We can explore that together.
