About me and my therapy practice
Whatever your reasons for seeking counselling, I will provide an environment where you can explore anything you want to in the knowledge that you can feel totally safe, regardless of what you may wish to discuss. It should be an empowering process for you, where you learn more about yourself,
about how you relate to others and about the person you would like to become.
My Approach to Counselling
I believe we all have the innate resources to fulfil our potential and live satisfying lives. Yet, there are times when we may be unable to see ways through our difficulties.
You can expect me to listen, put you first, to be understanding, respectful and non-judgemental as we talk about the challenges you may be facing. Together we can learn new perspectives and strategies enabling you to cope, or to make changes in your life, if that is what you want to do.
Although primarily person centred, I consider and integrate other theories to compliment my practice such as Emotion Focused Therapy, Transactional Analysis and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
I am able to offer short-term, time limited or open-ended therapy, depending upon your needs.
