Ioanna’s journey starts back in Greece where she was born and raised on the island of Crete. After moving to Athens and finishing her studies in cosmetology in 1993, she got fascinated by holistic treatments. The phrase: ” Νους υγιείς εν σώματι υγιεί”, which the ancient Greeks used to describe that a healthy mind (spirit) inhabits in a healthy body, became her way of living. She soon began to engage holistic treatments initially on herself. Later, she received further special training, in order to help her clients by incorporating holistic treatments into her beauty therapy sessions.
In 2008, she completed the master teacher Reiki degree in the Usui system of natural healing. In 2011 she became an official Karuna Reiki I & II practitioner. Her passion and experience in holistic therapies led her to become an instructor. She gave a variety of seminars with great success, focusing on deep internal relaxation and external pampering of the body and face.
In 2015 she moved to the UK with her family. She soon became a volunteer reiki and holistic massage healer at Yorkshire Cancer Support.
She is a full member of both the UK Reiki Federation and BABTAC (British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology).
She has offered her treatments to hundreds of clients, many of which have praised her skills and talent.
Ioanna loves arts, dance, and travelling, as well as constantly learning new techniques. People close to her describe her as a restless spirit that never stops evolving and searching for the connection between mind body and spirit.
